Elyne graduated from University of London (External) and obtained the Certificate of Legal Practice from the Legal Qualifying Board of Malaysia in 2008. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 22 January 2010 in the High Court of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur after completing her pupilage in Messrs. Cheang & Ariff.

Prior to her law degree, Elyne obtained a Bachelor of Economics (major in Econometrics) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2003 and has worked in the Human Resource Department in a local civil engineering firm. She has also joined one of the top legal firms in Singapore in 2007 as a legal secretary where she assisted an Assistant Director and a Legal Associate in the corporate department.

Upon admission to the Malaysian Bar in 2010, Elyne joined Messrs. Cheah Teh & Su, as a legal assistant in the litigation department and handled various general and civil litigation matters. In 2012, she returned to Messrs. Cheang & Ariff to practice law and was involved in a myriad of conveyancing and corporate matters. The years of legal practice has enabled Elyne to gain vast exposure and experience in some main areas of law, i.e. litigation, conveyancing and corporate; areas which essentially drives the economy

KOONG HUI JIUN

Ms Koong graduated from University of West England, United Kingdom in 2006 and obtained the Certificate of Legal Practice from the Legal Qualifying Board of Malaysia in 2008.

After completing her pupilage in Messrs. Cheang & Ariff, Ms Koong was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 29 August 2009 and was retained by the same firm as Legal Assistant in the litigation department. She joined Messrs. Michael Chow in 2010 as a Legal Assistant to the partner and was exposed to a wide range of general, banking and civil litigation.

Her main areas of practice includes but not limited to cases on contractual disputes, industrial disputes, debt recovery, tort matters, company law disputes, bankruptcy and winding-up law which garners her expertise in the courts’ proceedings.

Alex graduated from University of Tasmania and obtained the Certificate of Legal Practice from the Legal Qualifying Board of Malaysia in 2007. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 9 October 2008 in the High Court of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur after completing his pupilage in Messrs. Raja Daryl & Loh.

Alex subsequently joined Messrs. Yee How & Tan handling conveyancing and corporate matters. In September 2010, Alex practiced in Messrs YC Pang, Chong & Gordon mainly in conveyancing and corporate matters which enabled him to sharpen his expertise in that area gaining vast experience and further exposure. He joined Messrs. Elyne Choo & Koong in August 2016 focusing in the conveyancing department.
